Post-Surgery Wear   Prior to surgery, the Breast Care Nurse will order the complimentary Berlei Bra and Soft Forms for you to wear after surgery.

Mastectomy   Wearing the Berlei Bra and Soft Forms after surgery helps to reduce swelling and gives you some breast shape during recovery. Our questions & answers support offer is available if you are unsure about fitting and adjustment or if you feel the bra could be the wrong size.

Chemotherapy & Radiation   Radiation typically occurs after surgery, but may occur at different stages depending on circumstances. Softer, lower compression comfort bras and tops can be more comfortable for tender skin.

Everyday & Office   After 4-8 weeks when chest swelling has reduced, a weighted prosthesis or breast form can be fitted into a pocketed bra to create a balanced, natural looking breast line. Wearing a non-underwire bra style reduces the risk of rigid underwires pressing on scarring or restricting lymph flow when the lymphatic system has been compromised by surgery and radiation.

Scar Management   Can usually be started after sutures are removed and the skin is fully closed.
