When choosing a product or garment, having a better understanding of type, style, component and performance differences that affect comfort, wear and use can make for a better decision.
TYPE is used to identify STUDIO RANGE products with the same intended use. For example, for bras, TYPE differentiates between compression bras, fashion bras and the like.
STYLE can be used to compare the look and fit of products of the same TYPE.
Garment Anatomy pages below explain the STYLE elements for different product TYPES and the STUDIO RANGE product pages provide product STYLE comparisons. For example, Fashion Bra Anatomy describes cleavage, band, straps and the like, and each Product Page describes the cleavage, band and straps of that Fashion Bra when compared with other Fashion Bras.
Note Side-by-side STYLE comparisons are indicative. Outcomes are shown as ‘lower, medium, higher’ or the like. Mid-size range products are used for comparison. Outcomes may vary with smaller or larger sizes.
COMPONENTS can be used to compare wear and adjustment of products of the same TYPE.
Garment Anatomy pages below describe the range of COMPONENTS for different product TYPES and the STUDIO RANGE product pages provide COMPONENT comparisons. For example, Compression Garment Anatomy describes fastener types and locations, options for adjustment and crotch configurations and compression garment product pages compare fastener, adjustment and wear options for similar compression garments.
Note Side-by-side COMPONENT comparisons are used to identify Product features. Where a component is not provided, the outcome is shown as ‘None’ or similar.
PERFORMANCE can be used to compare claims for products of the same TYPE.
The Garment Anatomy pages below describe PERFORMANCE claims made for different product TYPES and the STUDIO RANGE product pages show if data was found to quantify claims so that PERFORMANCE can be compared.
For example, Compression Bra Anatomy describes compression, moisture and anti-bacterial performance and how claims can be quantified or generic. Compression bra product pages state whether quantifiable data was found for comparison.
Note Side-by-side PERFORMANCE comparisons identify what claims are made and if they are generic (medical grade) or declared (data or information). Whilst declared PERFORMANCE is easier to compare, caution is needed because test methods used in different countries can give varying outcomes.
