Cosmetic Surgery

Fitting   The surgeon will nominate a compression garment. Two weeks lead time allows for any special-order product or sizing that may be needed for achieving a good fit.

Face   Fitting garments for surgery to the face, neck, chin & ears is usually straightforward and the garment may only need to be worn for 2-6 weeks.

Body   Whilst recovery garments are usually worn for 6-8 weeks, the type and/or combination of surgeries can affect fitting. When there is significant change in body shape, fitting can be better undertaken after surgery. When there is significant swelling a second smaller garment may be needed as body shape and size reduces. Depending on the surgery and post-surgery garment nominated by the surgeon, a second garment may be a more comfortable and discreet option when mobile. Breast   Compression bras are usually worn for 6-8 weeks after surgery. Since the breast size will change, matching shape and size depends on measurement and the surgeon’s size change advice. When transitioning back to fashion and sports bras, wearing a non-underwire style for 6-12 months reduces the risk of rigid underwires pressing on scars that are still healing.

Scar Management   Can usually be started after sutures are removed and the skin is fully closed.
