Breast surgery can result in OEDEMA, usually a temporary post-operative condition resulting in swelling in the breast and/or chest.

At any time after breast surgery and radiation, damage to the lymphatic system can lead to LYMPHOEDEMA, a long-term condition that results in swelling in the breast, chest and/or arm.

Working with occupational therapists (OT’s) and physiotherapists (Physio’s) has led to understanding that better outcomes can be achieved with a coordinated treatment, exercise and lifestyle program.

Garment suggestions reflect garments typically selected by OT’s and Physio’s, garment manufacturer recommendations – and the experience gained from fitting ladies who are managing oedema or lymphoedema.
