Underwire Fashion Bras

A pocketed underwire fashion bra can be fitted with a partial breast form to balance breast size and shape after breast reconstruction, or it can be fitted with a breast form and worn as a special occasion mastectomy bra.

Our experience in fitting corsetry after breast surgery suggests it's better to wait 6 to 12 months for breast and chest sensitivity to fully return before wearing an underwire bra so you're aware of pressure or soreness caused by the underwire.

If breast surgery affected the lymph system, limiting underwire bra wear to special occasions reduces the risk of the underwires restricting lymph flow and triggering swelling.
