Post Surgery Compression Bras

After more intrusive breast surgery (e.g. breast reduction, breast lift, breast augmentation, mastectomy, lumpectomy, breast reconstruction), post surgery compression bras provide support to reduce tension on tender breast incisions, firm and even pressure to hold the shape of the post op breast, and compression to aid bruising and swelling reduction.

For less intrusive breast surgery (e.g. lymph node biopsy, localised lumpectomy, explant surgery), post op bras (they don't have the word compression in their name e.g. post surgery bra, recovery bra, comfort bra) stabilise the breasts to reduce breast movement, but are less supportive because there's usually less stress on incisions when moving about.
