Breast implants usually add 1 gram per cubic centimetre to breast weight (research suggests the natural breast weighs 500–1,000 grams), increase breast projection and change bra cup size (increase depends on under bust measurement).
This means that you may find your new breasts need more support and could move differently when active. You will be re-learning what works, so it may be better to take it slowly before buying too many new bras.

For 6-8 weeks after surgery a medium support compression bra can stabilise the breast and reduce movement pulling on sutures. The even pressure can also reduce swelling and bruising as the breast heals.
Front fastening can be easier to use when arm movement is restricted.
When active again, a sports bra with the right support level for the activity can reduce painful ‘figure 8’ or cross-over movement that occurs with bigger breasts.
Research also suggests sports bras can improve comfort at work for occupations involving physical activity.
