After a breast lift the bra cup size can reduce, typically by one cup. But the cup size change may relate to the change in breast shape rather than a reduction in breast volume.
Research suggests that ladies with breast ptosis (sagging or drooping breasts) may have found looser fitting bras (larger size/different cup shape) more comfortable. After a breast lift it may be that a firmer fitting bra with a different cup shape may compliment the new breast shape. A STUDIO fitting may be a better way to find the bra style and size suited to your new breast shape and position before buying too many new bras.

Wearing a compression bra for 6-8 weeks after surgery provides the firm and even pressure that supports and holds the new breast shape and can reduce swelling and bruising.
A wider band that sits on the ribs reduces pressure on under breast scarring, improving mobility.
If there is underbust scarring a non-underwire bra may be more comfortable for the 6-12 months it can take for scarring to heal.
This avoids rigid wires under the cup that can sit on the scar line and cause soreness and aggravation.
Breast movement increases with body movement and is especially noticeable in higher impact sports.
Matching bra support level to activity intensity ensures the sports bra can hold the breast as firmly as needed to reduce the tendency for body and breasts to move independently.
