Pockets made for the left and right bra cup. Matching the left or right-hand pocket and bra cup ensures that the 3D-raised dot surface faces towards the chest wall.
For a breast form, pocket size is usually matched to bra band size.
The oversized pocket shape provides the fitting flexibility needed to suit Cup Sizes from AA to G. A larger pocket size may be needed when the back of the breast form projects to fill chest shape.
For a partial form or shaper, a pocket size that is larger than the bra band size may be needed to allow the pocket to sit into the bra cup and fit over the breast.
Fitting Instructions are included with the pocket. As a guide, use the curved overlocked edge to position the pocket on the inside of the cup. Pinning holds the pocket in place ready for sewing.
Sew the pocket into place just inside the edge of the cup and then trim the excess material. The cut edge will not fray.
The right extent of edge sewing is critical. The curved, overlocked edge is not sewn, it forms the opening through which the breast form, partial form or shaper is inserted and the underarm band edge is left open to allow the breast form to sit correctly.
