Fitter's Product Notes
Product Notes
For post-surgery recovery, this bra can be an option when a larger band and/or cup size in needed.
For lymphoedema, case studies and feedback from ladies who have worn this bra suggest the combination of compression and the 3D-raised dot inner surface can promote lymphatic system drainage – and the more feminine styling is a more likely frequent wear option.
The T-shirt bra styling creates a more rounded, seamless breast shape. The moulded cup fully encapsulates the breast and provides firm and even pressure around the breast.
Additional support under and to the side of the cup provides compression around the breast and holds the breast in at the side. The moulded cup shape reduces the risk of compression marks.
The medium/high cleavage and underarm band and higher back provide compression around the breast, around the arm and across the back. The underarm may not be high enough if targeted compression up into the axilla is needed. Wider, padded and adjustable straps improve shoulder comfort.
Talking to your Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist is the best way to determine the garment(s) and frequency of wear that is appropriate for your circumstances. Research suggests that treatment and management can be more successful when they combine massage, exercise and care in choosing bras that do not restrict lymph flow.
Research suggests that, with frequent wear, the medical efficacy (performance life) of this bra is likely to be 6-12 months. This can increase when two bras are used in rotation because washing, drying and resting the bra between wears can improve performance.
This bra does not come with pockets. Go to Bra Accessories for matching 3D-raised dot surface pockets and pocket fitting.

Measure & Size Notes
Sizing Notes
Product Label Sizing European (EU).
Measuring Tips
Measure to the nearest centimetre.
A flexible cloth tape is best. Alternatively, use non-stretch fabric or a belt, mark the size and then measure the length with a metal tape or ruler. Avoid string because it presses into the skin and flexible metal tapes because they wrap unevenly.
Having someone else measure is better. Wear a bra, stand still and upright, relax and breathe out. Measure the underbust against the skin under the bra band and measure the bust over the bra. If self-measuring, use a mirror to check posture and that the tape is level and wrapped firmly (but not tightly) around the body.
After a unilateral mastectomy, measure the bust using the Half Bust x 2 illustration above, then calculate the bust measurement.
After a bilateral mastectomy, measure the underbust, then use the Sizing Chart to select the preferred cup size.
Sizing Suggestions
Whilst measurement can be a reliable way to match chest circumference to band size and breast volume to cup size, it cannot match the bra style to area(s) of swelling.
A STUDIO fitting allows for assessment of the area of swelling, understanding what your physiotherapist is expecting, and then selecting the bra style and accessories best suited to your needs.
If purchasing online, relying on an existing band or cup size may not achieve a good fit.
Over time breast and body shape tend to change. With wear, bands tend to stretch as elasticity is lost. Relying on an existing band size rather than using an underbust measurement is likely to result in a new bra with an uncomfortable band.
Cup volume changes as band size changes. Changing the band size and not using a bust measurement is likely to result in a new bra with a cup size that does not fit the breast.
