Product Notes

To manage post-operative swelling, garments usually extend beyond the area(s) of surgery. Review the product images to verify that the garment provides sufficient cover.

For brachioplasty to the upper arm, underarm and/or extending to the upper side chest, continuous cover from below the elbow to the shoulder and chest improves wear comfort and reduces the risk of swelling beyond the area of surgery.

Whilst the short vest style is usually more comfortable, and provides better cover than separate arm sleeves, a STUDIO fitting can be a better option because it can be difficult to size across the shoulders.

The front clip fasteners provide three rows of adjustment. If needed, extenders are available to increase front fastener size adjustment. The garment can be worn under clothes when more mobile.

The open bust style means a separate soft support bra is needed.

Sizing Suggestions

Compression garment sizes are not the same as clothing sizes. Relying on a clothing size is likely to result in a garment that does not achieve a good fit.

Measuring your body and then using the sizing chart is a better way to select the garment that matches the shape and size of your body.

Measuring Tips

Measure to the nearest centimetre. Check for differences between left and right arms.

A flexible cloth tape is best. Alternatively, use non-stretch fabric or a belt, mark the size and then measure the length with a metal tape or ruler. Avoid string because it presses into the skin and flexible metal tapes because they wrap unevenly.

Having someone else measure is better. Wear underwear, stand still and upright, relax and breathe out, then measure against the skin or over the underwear. If self-measuring, use a mirror to check posture and that the tape is level and wrapped firmly (but not tightly) around the body.
