Briefs provide coverage from the waist, or below the waist, to the groin but vary in the coverage past the groin.

Depending on the selected garment cover and medical advice, lower abdomen incision and inguinal hernia applications include everyday wear, as a precaution against further damage during higher risk activities and recovery after surgery.
