Product Notes

To better manage post-operative swelling, garments usually extend beyond the area(s) of surgery. Review the product images to verify that the garment provides sufficient cover.

Post-surgery, there is less risk of stressing incisions because this garment is not pulled over the head and down the abdomen. With the zip fastening and shoulder straps undone, the garment can be fitted around the upper body. The shoulder straps can then be adjusted to suit the torso length, the clips under the zip done up, and the zip closed.

Whilst a zip fastener is easy to use, it does not allow for size adjustment if there is significant post-operative swelling. If the fastener is over the area of any liposuction, ask your surgeon about the risk of marking the skin.

The garment can be worn under clothes when more mobile.

Sizing Suggestions

Compression garment sizes are not the same as clothing sizes. Relying on a clothing size is likely to result in a garment that does not achieve a good fit.

Measuring your body and then using the sizing chart is a better way to select the garment that matches the shape and size of your body.

Measuring Tips

Measure to the nearest centimetre.

A flexible cloth tape is best. Alternatively, use non-stretch fabric or a belt, mark the size and then measure the length with a metal tape or ruler. Avoid string because it presses into the skin and flexible metal tapes because they wrap unevenly.

Having someone else measure is better. Wear underwear, stand still and upright, relax and breathe out, then measure against the skin or over the underwear. If self-measuring, use a mirror to check posture and that the tape is level and wrapped firmly (but not tightly) around the body.
