It can be worn as a fashion bra, fitted with a partial breast form to balance breast shape or add breast volume or worn as a mastectomy bra with a breast form.

What breast shape will it give me?

The Amoena Barbara Padded Strapless Underwire Bra has a seamless T-shirt style cup that lifts and separates the breasts, giving you a more rounded breast shape. The silicone band on the top of the cup reduces slipping, and the more structured cup holds breast in at the side and hides some breast unevenness.

Is this bra comfortable to wear after breast surgery?

The Amoena Barbara Padded Strapless Underwire Bra is better for occasional wear when transitioning to fashion bras after breast surgery because the underwires can put pressure on breast incisions or tender parts of the breast or chest, and the side stays in the band can press on underarm incisions.

Its tapering medium height underarm band usually covers a mastectomy incision, can sit on the tissue flap at the end of a mastectomy incision, and has the slightly firmer seams that may irritate a lower lumpectomy or axillary clearance scar.

It comes with clip-on narrower material and transparent silicone straps that can be used in vertical, halter neck and cross-over configurations to suit a range of different tops.

Does this bra retain underarm and back tissue?

It has a medium height tapering underarm band that retains less underarm tissue and the narrower back band doesn't retain back tissue.
