Product Notes
For the first 6-12 months after most breast surgery, a non-underwire cup that more fully encapsulates the breast can reduce breast movement and be more comfortable whilst scars heal.
After a mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast reconstruction, if lymph nodes have been removed or affected during surgery, a non-underwire bra reduces the risk of underwires creating lines of pressure that can aggravate lymph flow and scarring.
The low/medium cleavage can cover chest scarring and ensures a breast form or partial form is fully concealed.
The medium underarm band is likely to cover the tissue flap that may occur at the end of a mastectomy incision, is usually high enough to contain excess underarm tissue but the upper edge may sit near or over a lymph node removal incision. Side stays in the underarm band can mean the bra is less comfortable for everyday wear and better suited to occasional wear.
Pocketed cups hold a breast form after a mastectomy, shaper after a lumpectomy, or partial form to balance breast shape. Pockets do not affect wear after breast reconstruction or reduction.

Measure & Size Notes
Measuring Tips
Measure to the nearest centimetre.
A flexible cloth tape is best. Alternatively, use non-stretch fabric or a belt, mark the size and then measure the length with a metal tape or ruler. Avoid string because it presses into the skin and flexible metal tapes because they wrap unevenly.
Having someone else measure is better. Wear a bra, stand still and upright, relax and breathe out. Measure the underbust against the skin under the bra band and measure the bust over the bra. If self-measuring, use a mirror to check posture and that the tape is level and wrapped firmly (but not tightly) around the body.
After a unilateral mastectomy, measure the natural breast using the Half Bust x 2 illustration above, then calculate the bust measurement.
After a bilateral mastectomy, measure the underbust, then use the Sizing Chart to select the preferred cup size.
When correcting breast asymmetry, bra size is determined by the underbust and larger breast using the Half Bust x 2 method above.
Sizing Suggestions
Measurement is a reliable way to match chest circumference to band size and breast volume to cup size, but it cannot match bra style to breast shape. For example, ‘puckering’ when the breast shape does not fill the front of the cup.
A STUDIO fitting provides the opportunity to try-on different bra styles, and to know how the bra looks and feels.
If purchasing online, relying on an existing band or cup size may not achieve a good fit.
Over time breast and body shape tend to change. With wear, bands tend to stretch as elasticity is lost. Relying on an existing band size rather than using an underbust measurement is likely to result in a new bra with an uncomfortable band.
Cup volume changes as band size changes. Changing the band size and not using a bust measurement is likely to result in a new bra with a cup size that does not fit the breast.
