Before being fitted, you will need a letter from a medical professional confirming the medical reason that the garment(s) is needed. Contact the STUDIO for appropriate wording (click on phone/email symbol in the top of page grey tool bar).
WHEN YOU DROP-IN TO THE BREASTCARE STUDIO
For recovery compression garments, we will take the measurements needed to achieve a good fit.
For a first fashion bra and prosthesis fitting, we will spend time in the fitting room to create a natural looking breast shape.
For subsequent bra and breast prosthesis fittings, we will first review your fitting. It may be that adjusting your bra is all that is needed. If a change in body, breast or lifestyle means that a new shape, size or style is needed we will fit the new prosthesis. If the existing prosthesis has been damaged or has lost integrity, we will show you any new options and then fit your new prosthesis.
After being fitted, we will email electronic copies of your medical letter and a BreastCare WA invoice (including DVA number) to DVA for reimbursement.
WHEN YOU PURCHASE ONLINE OR BY PHONE
You will need to pay for the garment. A copy of the ‘paid’ Invoice will then be included with your garment when delivered (do not use the web invoice).
You then need to attach the invoice and medical letter to your claim and submit it to DVA for reimbursement.

A corsetiere was a specialist in making and fitting what today are called lingerie and compression garments.
Their 'art' was founded on knowledge, experience, informed questioning and observation, and brought to life in the fitting room.
As specialist garment fitters, the 'art of the corsetiere' captures the essence of what we do - fit garments to the individual body shapes of men and women.
