Nipple Reconstruction After Breast Reconstruction / Inverted Nipple Correction Surgery
After nipple reconstruction or enhancement surgery, the surgeon typically places a protective covering or ‘shield’ over the nipple to avoid compressing the new nipple.
To stabilise the breast and aid mobility, a compression bra with low breast area compression is then usually worn over the ‘shield’. This provides firm and even pressure to the chest area, but more gentle pressure over the breast and nipple.

Wider coverage to the chest provides support and compression to aid recovery and the mesh to the breast area provides shape and support with lower pressure.
After sutures are removed and skin fully closes, 100% medical grade silicone ointment and sheets act as a protective barrier over scars, reducing water evaporation and helping stop excessive scar tissue build-up.
