This pad has the same profile on each side and therefore can be fitted over the breast and chest on the left or right side.
As shown in the images above, this pad can be fitted over the side of the breast and worn inside a compression bra. It can also be positioned and/or rotated to provide compression to other areas of the breast. Depending on the area of the breast, a compression bra or the right style of fashion bra may be needed.
Pad size is selected to target the area of the breast needing compression. There is no sizing guide to correlate pad size with the area of breast needing compression. A fitting can be a better option for determining the combination of pad size, location and orientation – and the style and size of compression or fashion bra that can provide compression where needed.
Talking to your Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist is the best way to determine the pad type and frequency of wear that is appropriate for your circumstances. Research suggests that treatment and management can be more successful when they combine massage, exercise and care in choosing bras that do not restrict lymph flow.
User instructions are provided with this pad.
As a guide, gentle machine wash with mild detergent in cool water. Do not use bleach or softener. Tumble drying at low temperature is nominated, but unless the temperature can be regulated, air drying in the shade may be the better option.

Movement of Lymphatic Fluid Claim: Regional channels of high and low pressure help to push oedema and lymph fluid into areas of least resistance and towards functioning lymphatic drainage areas. Research studies are mentioned but have not been sighted.
