If thinking about ONLINE selection, the following Fitting Room insights may be useful.
Ladies often comment that seeing bras and briefs displayed together in the Fitting Rooms makes it easier to know a brief colour is the same or very similar to a bra.
To make it easier when browsing ONLINE, we show a white bra and brief symbol on similar colour bras and briefs (a black bra and brief symbol indicates Matching Bras & Briefs).
Ladies also mention that product images and/or names can be misleading and and seeing briefs side-by-side is a better way to know if a brief has the waist and hip height that will give the fit they prefer.
To make it easier to compare brief shapes as you browse (regardless of brand), we provide a shape description at the top of each product page.
For more information about this brief, see Shape and Performance below.
After browsing ONLINE, ladies often call the STUDIO to confirm their selection and make a quick and easy PHONE purchase.
Brands use images of models in different poses and terms like ‘high waist’ to describe their briefs.
When you make side-by-side comparisons on a mannequin, a brief with an image that looks like a ‘low waist’ brief can be the same as a ‘high waist’ brief, and a brief that is called a ‘low brief’ may be the same as another that’s called a ‘high brief’.
To make it easier to compare brief shape, we developed a comparative rating for each of the brief shape elements listed below.
Waist Height The Anita Essentials High Waist Brief has a high waist rating when compared with our other briefs.
Leg Opening The leg opening at the hip has a medium height rating when compared to our other briefs.
Width at Hip The width of the brief at the hip has a medium rating when compared to our other briefs.
Why question supplier product performance and certification claims? Because we’ve learnt that marketing statements such as free of harmful chemicals are not always verified.
Material 80% Nylon, 20% Elastane.

Measure & Size Notes
Sizing Suggestions
This brief has what we call Product Specific (ProdSpec) sizing. Why? Because the body measurements and sizes on the Sizing Chart are different from other briefs.
Using the size of another brand of brief, or a clothing size, can result in a brief that doesn’t have a good fit.
As a guide, the Anita Essentials Briefs Product Specific S/M size caters for AU Brief Sizes 8-14 and L/XL caters for AU Brief Sizes 16-22.
If in doubt, call the STUDIO to talk through sizing and make a quick and easy PHONE purchase.
Measuring Tips
In the Fitting Room we use a flexible cloth tape and measure to the nearest centimetre.
If you don’t have a cloth tape, use non-stretch fabric or a belt, mark the size and then measure the length with a metal tape or ruler. Avoid string because it presses into the skin and flexible metal tapes because they wrap unevenly.
From experience, we’ve found that having someone else measure is more accurate. Wear underwear, stand still and upright, relax and breathe out, then measure against the skin or over the underwear. If self-measuring, use a mirror to check posture and make sure the tape is level and wrapped firmly (but not tightly) around the body.
