REIMBURSEMENT OPTIONS

Male & Female

Medicare, DVA, NDIS & Private Health

There can be government and private health insurance options for claiming the cost of post-surgery products.

For women who have undergone breast cancer related breast surgery, the Australian Government’s External Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Program will reimburse up to $400 per prostheses.

Holders of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold Card can claim for surgery related compression garments, pocketed fashion and sports bras, breast prostheses and compression sleeves.

Participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can be fitted with a garment that contributes to their health and wellbeing and have a quotation forwarded to their Registered NDIS Provider for payment.

Depending on your Private Health Insurance Policy, you may be able to claim reimbursement for post-surgical compression garments, pocketed fashion and sports bras, prostheses, pocketed swimwear and compression sleeves.

Breast Prosthesis Reimbursement

Female

The Australian Government provides a reimbursement of up to $400 for each prosthesis (breast form, partial form or shaper) for women who have had breast cancer related breast surgery.

DVA Gold Card

Male & Female

If you are a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold Card holder, you will be able to claim for post-surgical garments that are associated with your surgery.

National Disability Insurance Scheme

Male & Female

If you are a participant in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), we can fit your garment and then provide a quotation to your Registered NDIS Provider.

Private Health Cover

Male & Female

If you have private health insurance and your policy includes ancillary cover, you may be eligible for reimbursement for certain types of post-surgical garments.
