Caring for Breast Forms
Female
Wear, then Wash, Dry & Store

Naturally occurring perspiration, oils and dead skin cells, perfumes, moisturisers, lotions and powders, as well as emissions from medications or treatments can leave a residue on the skin.

These odours and residues can build-up, especially on breast forms and covers. Regular washing helps to remove odours and other residues.

Before washing, check the care instructions provided with the product. The following are a guide to typical care.

SILICONE BREAST FORMS

Wash in a basin or sink with cool water (30 deg Celsius). Use your hands or a soft cloth to gently wash with a mild soap or liquid detergent, then rinse thoroughly and gently dry with a soft towel.

Before handling the breast form, it is better to remove rings and wash your hands to remove any hand sanitiser, moisturiser or other residues. Take care to ensure fingers do not press into the breast form or that nails do not puncture the surface.

To store, place it in the shaped mould inside the storage box that came with the breast form.

SILICONE AIR ADJUSTABLE BREAST FORMS

Wash as for Silicone Breast Forms, but do not immerse in water.

SILICONE PARTIAL FORMS & SHAPERS

Wash as described in Silicone Breast Forms.

STICK-ON SILICONE FORMS (SELF-ADHESIVE)

These breast forms have a self-adhesive film on the back that sticks directly to the skin.

To wash, put three drops of the specified proprietary soft cleaner on the dry adhesive, moisten the proprietary cleaning brush with lukewarm water (40-degrees Celsius), then scrub the adhesive surface with the brush for about three minutes using a circular motion.

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water (but do not immerse) then place the breast form, adhesive side up, on a towel. Leave to air dry and then replace the plastic protector sheet over the adhesive surface.

To store, place it in the shaped mould inside the storage box that came with the stick-on form.

LEISURE FORMS

The leisure form has a cloth cover and an inner shaped foam form.

Remove the fabric cover and machine wash and dry as described in caring for fashion and sports bras.

Do not wash or immerse the foam form in water. Gently spot clean with a damp cloth. If the foam accidentally gets wet, gently squeeze out all the moisture and air dry out of the sun.

When the cover is dry, turn it inside out, lay the front side on the front of the foam form, then gently pull the back of the cover over the foam form.

SOFT FORMS

These breast forms have a cloth cover and an adjustable fibre fill.

To wash, remove the fibre fill, then machine wash and air dry the cover and hand wash and air dry the fill as described in caring for fashion and sports bras.

Do not place the fill back inside the cover until both are completely dry.

SWIM FORMS

Swim forms are made for frequent use in fresh, salt and chlorinated water.

After use, wash in a basin or sink with cool water (30 deg Celsius).

To store, place it in cloth bag that came with the swim form.

A corsetiere was a specialist in making and fitting what today are called lingerie and compression garments.

Their 'art' was founded on knowledge, experience, informed questioning and observation, and brought to life in the fitting room.

As specialist garment fitters, the 'art of the corsetiere' captures the essence of what we do - fit garments to the individual body shapes of men and women.
