Product Notes

Leisure forms are a slightly robust, lighter weight option when more active. Their breast shape tends to be slightly different to a silicone breast form, so a fitting can be a better way to determine the type suited to your breast and body shape.

Wear and handling can degrade the shape and feel of a leisure form and body shape changes can mean a different size, shape or weight is needed. This happens slowly and can go unnoticed. A bi-annual fitting review is a way to check if replacement is needed.

The symmetrical, regular shape suits a breast that sits more to the front of the chest. A larger breast on a smaller chest may need a narrower (rounded) shape or a smaller size with more profile.

The medium profile creates a breast with a little more upper breast fullness. If the chest is more concave, a fuller or adjustable profile (air inflated) breast form may be needed.

Leisure Form Size

Do not confuse leisure form size (1, 2, 3 etc) with bra band size (8, 10, 12 etc). Whilst the size of the leisure form is matched to the bra cup size (as shown on the Sizing Chart), leisure form sizing terms differ from bra sizing terms.

Unilateral Mastectomy

Leisure form selection is influenced by the size, shape, profile, weight and feel of the natural breast – and the shape of the chest wall.

It is important to wear a bra when taking the Half-Bust Measurement because this is the breast shape that the leisure form is sized to match.

Bilateral Mastectomy

Leisure form size can be based on preferred bra cup size. Leisure form shape, profile, weight and feel can be influenced by body shape, postural correction and/or the need to compensate for chest shape.

Measure the underbust, then use the Sizing Chart to select the leisure form size that matches the preferred bra cup size.

Measuring Tips

Measure to the nearest centimetre.

A flexible cloth tape is best. Alternatively, use non-stretch fabric or a belt, mark the size and then measure the length with a metal tape or ruler. Avoid string because it presses into the skin and flexible metal tapes because they wrap unevenly.

Having someone else measure is better. Stand still and upright, relax and breathe out, then measure against the skin. If self-measuring, use a mirror to check posture and that the tape is level and wrapped firmly (but not tightly) around the body.
